Web Hosting
Departments within the College of Liberal Arts may utilize CLA-OIT’s web servers to host their websites. Individual faculty and staff members can also obtain accounts for developing web pages within the structure of their unit website or home directories. To obtain web space and/or FTP accounts, contact the Software & Web Development Team at webhelp@umn.edu.

Reporting Problems or Making Suggestions
Experiencing problems with a website? Help us solve it quickly by e-mailing the following information to webhelp@umn.edu:
- The exact web address of the page where the problem occurs.
- What type of computer and which browser was used to view the page.
- Whether the problem occurred while viewing the page, with editing, or with some other web application.
- When the problem was first noticed, if known.
Usage Statistics
CLA faculty, staff, and departments with websites hosted on the CLA-OIT web server may request statistical reports to track website traffic and top requested information. Request a report.
To request web space and an FTP account for a new website or to request an FTP account to an existing website contact the Web Team at webhelp@umn.edu.
