Digital Content Library
The Digital Content Library is a combined resource of the College of Liberal Arts (CLA) and the College of Design (CDes). Together, there are over 220,000 learning objects from many different disciplines in image, video, and audio formats available for use in teaching and learning. Faculty, students and staff can store, organize and share items via Media Drawers.
Eligibility
University of Minnesota faculty, staff, and students
What We Do
- Provide web-based access to over 220,000 images, videos, and audio files for educational uses.
- Descriptive information is both accurate and adheres to standard cataloging guidelines.
- Search by title, date, digital ID, order, location, creator, source and keywords.
- Link to items for use in teaching and research.
- Download images in either space-saving low resolution or projection-quality high resolution (options depend on access privileges).
- Organize selected items in custom Media Drawers.
- Share Media Drawers with individuals or entire courses.
What We Don't Do
- Provide access to download audio and video files.
- Provide print-optimized images for publication.
- Print or export to physical media.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week
- Excluding scheduled maintenance.
- Requires reliable network connection and other University infrastructure systems (may be outside of CLA-OIT control).
